RUSTON, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team surged to a 9-4 victory over Louisiana Tech on Tuesday night at J.C. Love Field to split the season series with the Bulldogs.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (23-19) outhit La Tech (29-14) 11-7 in the game and swiped three bases in the game.
Freshman left-hander Austin Perrin was outstanding on the mound picking up his third victory of the season. Perrin tossed a career-high 8.0 innings while limiting the Bulldogs to one run on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts. After giving up a run on two hits in the first inning, Perrin went on to retire 18 of the next 19 batters he faced in the game.
La Tech starter David Leal was handed only his third loss of the year in the contest surrendering five runs (two earned) on six hits in 5.0 innings of work.
