In a friendly wager between two legendary SEC coaches, The Head Ball Coach came out victorious.
With Florida knocking off LSU in The Swamp last Saturday, Steve Spurrier got the better of Les Miles.
The pair of SEC royalty made a hilarious bet prior to the game, with the loser having to shame themselves.

The sight of Spurrier chomping would’ve been highly entertaining.
Afterwards, Spurrier basked in the glow of the Gators handing the Tigers their first loss of the season.

“Surprised,” Spurrier said as transcribed by Saturday Down South. “Not the slightest. I will tell you this, the only surprising thing about today is when Coach Miles dons that Gator visor. … I bet him if the Gators win, he’d have to wear my visor for a week. Hey Les, now’s a good time to put that visor on.”
Miles rolled his eyes and begrudgingly obliged.
“All right. I would never wear half a hat,” Miles said. “Can I take this thing off yet?”
Spurrier continued to poke some more fun at his friend.
“Take it off?” Spurrier said. “You just put it on, and besides, it looks pretty good on you.”
You’ve got to love the first-class trolling from the man that put the Gators on the map.
Florida leads the all-time series 33-29-3.
Spurrier coached Florida from 1990-2001 and guided the program to a national title in 1996. Miles was at LSU from 2005-2011 and led the Tigers the 2007 national championship.
Spurrier and Miles never faced off as the coaches of Florida and LSU. Miles went 4-0 vs. Spurrier’s South Carolina teams from 2007-2015.
Now that Spurrier has the edge in the head gear battle, we can’t wait to see the next chapter of the rivalry.
