Cox Sports Television continues the network’s live programming of LHSAA football this week with a Division I semifinal matchup between the Brother Martin Crusaders and Catholic High of Baton Rouge Bears. Coverage begins Friday at 7pm.

Both teams enter this week’s contest coming off very close encounters in their quarterfinal matchups. Top-seeded Brother Martin advanced by holding off #9 Jesuit 36-34. Quarterback Garrett Mmahat led the Crusaders with 250 yards in the air, 85 yards rushing and two scores.

In a similar nail-biter, Catholic needed a late score to rally past last season’s state champion Rummel Raiders. The duo of George Hart and Corey Singleton combined for 302 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Tre’ Benson added two scores as well.
