The Allstate Sugar Bowl LHSAA Prep Classic will last three days beginning on Thursday, Dec. 6.
You can watch the games Live on CST.
Here’s a breakdown of Day 1:
12:00: Oak Grove vs Kentwood
These spectacular three days will kick off with Oak Grove squaring off against Kentwood in the 1A Class championship.
Oak Grove comes into the matchup as the No. 1 seed and owns a perfect 13-0 record. With that record, Oak Grove has won 13 games in each of the last two years.
This season, Oak Grove has registered four shutouts, including two during the playoff run. Last week, they held West St. John off the scoreboard, winning 30-0 in the semifinals.
Kentwood possesses a 14-2 record this season. As the No. 3 seed, Kentwood beat second-seeded Haynesville, 20-14, in the semifinals last week.
3:30: LaFayette Christian vs Ascension Catholic
The Division IV Championship will kick off next with LaFayette Christian facing Ascension Catholic, which is a rematch of last year. No. 4-seeded LaFayette Christian sits at 13-0 and beat No. 1 Southern Lab, 35-20, in the semifinals.
At No. 3, Ascension Catholic has one loss but was actually a higher seed in the playoffs than LaFayette Christian. Ascension Catholic is 12-1 and defeated Vermilion Catholic, 37-13, in the semifinals.
7:00: Notre Dame vs Catholic New Iberia
The final game of the first day will be No. 1 Notre Dame versus sixth-seeded Catholic New Iberia in the Division III title game.
Catholic New Iberia is the most improbable championship participant in the 2018 LHSAA Prep Classic on Day 1. As the sixth seed, Catholic New Iberia defeated No. 2-seeded Metairie Park Country Day, 57-54, in the semifinals.
Notre Dame comes in with a perfect 14-0 record and defeated No. 5 Newman, 48-21, in the semifinals.
