Alvin Kamara Plugs his ‘Watermelon Zoom’ Airheads After TD vs. Eagles

It was a sweet touchdown celebration for Alvin Kamara both literally and figuratively.

The New Orleans Saints running back hauled in a 37-yard touchdown reception on fourth-and-7 in the fourth quarter of the 48-7 victory vs. the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Kamara, being the excellent showman that he is, sprinted to the sideline and snacked on some special treats.

That’s right, you saw correctly. Those were Kamara’s signature “Watermelon Zoom” flavored Airheads.

Fellow running back Mark Ingram delighted in helping Kamara plug the product as well.

Kamara didn’t even think twice about what his touchdown celebration would be after his new endorsement deal.

“You’ve got to push your brand,” Kamara said to NOLA.com. “Shoutout to Airheads.”

Kamara’s signature candy isn’t for sale yet, but should be coming out soon according to NOLA.com.

The official twitter account for Airheads brand tweeted a photo of Kamara’s candy and said: “These left our warehouse Tuesday and @A_kamara6 was eating them on national tv just now after that amazing touchdown! What a week.”

Kamara totaled 108 yards (71 rushing, 37 receiving) as part of the Saints’ offensive explosion. Kamara is the fourth player in NFL history with 500 yards rushing and receiving in his first two seasons.

The electric Saints offense has scored at least 45 points in the last three games. The dynamic duo of Kamara and Ingram has plenty to do with it.

Even more so when they line up in formation at the same time.

“When (Ingram and Kamara are) both on the field, the defense’s antenna has to be up,” Saints offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod said to NOLA.com. “They’re both playmakers … they have to be accounted for at all times.”

Prior to the touchdown celebration, Kamara had some fun by breaking it down to the classic New Orleans rap song “Choppa Style” in the third quarter.

With the Saints on a nine-game winning streak, fans are dreaming of Kamara munching on his Airheads while dancing to Choppa and Master P in a Super Bowl parade this February.
