With the 2019 NFL Draft quickly approaching, Devin White is definitely on many teams’ radar.
The former LSU inside linebacker is slated for three pre-NFL draft visits with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (fifth pick), New York Giants (sixth pick) and the Cincinnati Bengals (11th pick), according to NOLA.com.
White told NOLA.com that he had six extra visits with “teams with top picks” prior to LSU’s Pro Day.

White’s goal is to be a top-five pick in the draft, which starts on April 25. ESPN guru Mel Kiper Jr. currently has White being selected with the fifth pick by the Buccaneers.
White wants to break the recent mold of linebackers not being selected high in the draft.
The last linebacker in the top five was Dante Fowler (No. 3 pick) in 2015.
“I’m trying to go top five,” White said to NOLA.com. “Whether that’s one through five, I want to be that pick and I want to show that team I’m willing and ready to come in and be the leader of that defense.”
White’s main focus is to continue improving every day leading up to the draft.

“At the end of the day, for me, there’s still more work to be done,” White to NOLA.com. “I haven’t got drafted yet, and I’m still trying to solidify myself.”
Last season, White was the first-ever LSU linebacker to win the Butkus Award. White amassed 286 tackles, 8.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in his collegiate career.
At the NFL Combine, White clocked in at 4.42 for the best time at his position group. White also had the second-highest vertical jump (39.5) for linebackers, second only to Michigan’s Devin Bush (41).
White teased that there’s a certain team, which he wouldn’t reveal, that “really, really loves” him.
“They’re probably willing to trade up or they probably already got the pick. I feel like they’ll take me,” White said to NOLA.com. “But I won’t know until April 25.”
