SEC Announces 2019 LSU Football Schedule

The SEC revealed the 2019 conference schedules for all 14 football teams on Tuesday. As No. 6 LSU has raced out to a 3-0 start to 2018, Tigers fans can start salivating at the exciting matchups next season.


LSU begins 2019 campaign with the season opener at home vs. Georgia Southern on Aug. 31 then head to Texas for a long-awaited clash on Sept. 7. This marks the first regular season meeting of the schools since 1954.

The last time LSU and Texas played each other was n the 2003 Cotton Bowl in Dallas, a 35-20 win by the Longhorns. Texas will play at LSU in 2020.

LSU hosts Northwestern State on Sept. 14 followed by the SEC opener at Vanderbilt in on Sept. 21. In the last meeting of the conference rivals, LSU defeated host Vanderbilt 27-3 in 2010.

LSU gets a bye week on Sept. 28, then welcome Utah State on Oct. 5 to begin a three-game homestand, followed by Florida (Oct. 12) and Auburn (Oct. 26). LSU visits Mississippi State on Oct. 19.

After the second bye week on Nov. 2, LSU travels for back-to-back road games vs. Alabama (Nov. 9) and Ole Miss (Nov. 16).

LSU caps off the regular season with home games vs. Arkansas (Nov. 23) and Texas A&M (Nov. 30).

Game times will be officially announced 6-12 days before kickoff.
