NEW ORLEANS – For the 17th time in network history, Cox Sports Television has been recognized for exceptional work by the Telly Awards. The network’s documentary film, CST 15: 15 Years…and Counting is the recipient of a Bronze Telly Award in the Television General History category.
The Tellys, a national award which honors excellence in video and television across all screens, had more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents.
CST has also been recently recognized by The Press Club of New Orleans as a qualifier for the 60th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards and Cox Sports Television has been honored with two nominations.
The documentary is a finalist in the Best Sports Special category, which is awarded for excellence in the production of a stand-alone, single sports special. CST is also a finalist in the Best Promotional Campaign category for the CST 15 campaign that featured the 15 Greatest Moment of CST History. Nominated for their work were Executive Producer Jeff Brenner, Marketing and Promotions Manager Chris Jackson and Producer/Writer Tom Gregory.
The winners will be announced at Awards Gala held on July 21st at The Jung Hotel on historic Canal Street. The Press Club’s membership spans media including TV, digital, radio, print, and public relations.
