NEW ORLEANS – On October 28, 2002, the sports landscape in Louisiana was altered when Cox Communications launched the state’s first and only 24-hour regional sports network. With a push of a button, Cox Sports Television reached 400,000 customers and never turned back. Now, 15 years later, CST has grown exponentially.

To mark the milestone, CST will debut CST, 15 Years…and Counting, a one-hour look at the some of the most influential people and events that have helped the network turn into the Gulf South Sports Leader. The show, produced by Emmy-Award winning producer Tom Gregory, will debut Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

Since CST was launched, the network has televised events that run the gambit of local and regional sports coverage from the highest level of competition. CST was an integral part in introducing the then-New Orleans Hornets to the Gulf South by broadcasting 65 games per year and quickly began coverage of others. Currently, CST broadcasts include programming for the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, New Orleans Baby Cakes (formerly New Orleans Zephyrs), Pensacola Blue Wahoos and more.
