PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The bracket is set, and Tulane baseball will be the fifth seed and face fourth-seeded USF in the opening game of the American Athletic Conference Championship on Tuesday, May 23 at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Fla.

The Green Wave (27-29, 13-11 American) and Bulls (40-15, 14-10 American) will play at 2 p.m. CT Tuesday, and the game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. Tulane and USF are joined on Tuesday by top-seeded UCF and eighth-seeded East Carolina, which play the evening game. The winners will meet on Thursday, while the losing teams face an elimination game on Wednesday.

The tournament is an eight-team double elimination format through the semifinal round, and the championship game is a winner-take-all final. Tuesday's games will be televised on CBS Sports Network. All games from Wednesday through Saturday will be broadcast on the American Digital Network, and the championship game on Sunday, May 28 will be televised on ESPNews.

Tulane won two of three games from USF this season, on March 31-April 2 – the first weekend of conference play – in New Orleans. The Wave won 6-4 and 4-3, before the Bulls took the final game of the series, 7-5.

The second half of the field opens the tournament on Wednesday. Second-seeded Houston plays the seventh-seed Memphis, and third-seeded UConn plays sixth-seeded Cincinnati on Wednesday.
