  • Email To A Friend

It is opening week across the country for professional baseball and today, Cox Sports Television announced the network’s Minor League Baseball broadcast schedule. The 14-game CST Road Trip features the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and the new look New Orleans Baby Cakes.

The Blue Wahoos, Double-A Affiliate to the Cincinnati Reds, won the 2016 Southern League South Division and will be the host of the 2017 All Star Game. Blue Wahoos Stadium, considered one of the most premier facilities in Minor League Baseball, will play host to four CST broadcasts this season.

Formerly known as the New Orleans Zephyrs, the Baby Cakes will enter the  franchise’s 25th season in 2017. The Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins will be featured 10 times on the network, including the annual Fourth of July broadcast from the right field pool.
