The first thing that Zach Strief said at his press conference today was, “I’m retiring.” And with that, a 12-year career as one of the best in the game ended.
During his press conference, Strief was emotional when talking about his now-former head coach Sean Payton. When talking about future Hall of Fame quarterback, Strief had trouble getting through his prepared speech.
Today is the end of the greatest adventure of my life. Announcing my retirement as a member of the New Orleans @saints is the honor of a lifetime. For 12 years the incredible people of New Orleans have been steadfast in their support of us and I’ll never forget it. I love you New Orleans, and I always will. I hope I get to meet every one of you over the coming years @portorleansbrewingco. Who Dat forever #whodat #whodatnation #brewedbelowsealevel #saints
