METAIRIE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team defeated No. 19 LSU 3-1 at the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic on Tuesday night at the Shrine on Airline to complete the season sweep.

The season sweep of the Tigers (16-10) marks the first time the Ragin’ Cajuns (11-13) have claimed two wins against LSU in the same year since 2002. The win is the fourth of the season for Louisiana against a ranked opponent.

Junior Hogan Harris picked up his first victory of the season limiting the Tigers to one unearned run on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts in four innings of work. Senior Logan Stoelke registered his sixth save of the year in the game tossing a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout.
LSU starter AJ Labas was handed the loss after surrendering three runs on five hits with a walk and six strikeouts in 5.1 innings.
