NEW ORLEANS – The annual Sports Medicine Center of Thibodaux Regional Bayou-River All-Star Shootout presented by the Thibodaux Lions Club will be televised live Saturday evening on CST.

Bayou-River All-Star Shootout to air Saturday live on CST

Coverage begins with the girls game at 5 p.m., followed by the boys game. The three-point and slam dunk contests will be shown at halftime of the boys game.

Ken Berthelot and Mike Detillier will describe the action of Saturday’s doubleheader, which will be produced by Crescent City Sports. An archived version of both game broadcasts will be available on CrescentCitySports.com.

The event features the top senior boys and girls basketball players from the River Parishes and the Bayou region. The girls teams will be divided into River and Bayou units, while the boys teams are split into North and South.

Last year’s event was headlined by current Baylor guard Cara “Moon” Ursin of Class 5A champion Destrehan. Other games in recent years have included the likes of current University of New Orleans guard Troy Green of East St. John and Nicholls forward Cassidy Barrios, this season’s Southland Conference player of the year, from Vandebilt Catholic.

Two players competing on Saturday were in last Saturday’s Louisiana High School Coaches Association all-star games in Bossier City – Traya Bruce of South Lafourche and Anthony Rainey of H.L. Bourgeois.
