The Cox Sports Television NCAA Baseball and Softball Road Trip is back and boasts some of the best teams in the country and some Super Regional caliber tournaments. The Gulf South Sports Leader will feature powerhouse programs such as LSU, Arkansas, Louisiana and much more.

“The strength of our baseball and softball schedule lays in the quality of our teams, tournaments and matchups we provide,” stated CST Network head Rod Mickler, “The state of Louisiana is always featured along with other national powerhouses, we really are must have TV for all college baseball fans!”

The baseball schedule will kick off in a special way when the LSU Tigers travel across I-10 to the Crescent City to face in-state rival New Orleans. The Tigers, ranked in the top four in all major preseason polls, will also see action on CST against McNeese State (March 8) and against No. 13 Louisiana on April 11 in the annual Wally Pontiff Classic.

The network will also feature two of the top tournaments in the country on the same weekend. During March 3-5, CST will broadcast games from the Frisco Classic in Texas and the Cox Diamond Invitational in Florida. Featured teams in Frisco include Arkansas, Arizona, Nebraska and Oklahoma State. The Cox Diamond Classic, set at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola will feature Seton Hall, Southeastern Louisiana, South Alabama and Troy.

The Southland Conference will be well represented on the network with appearances from UNO, Nicholls, McNeese State, Southeastern Louisiana and Northwestern State. The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will also be the focus of attention when they host Arkansas February 28 and March 1.

CST’s softball schedule will consist of four LSU contests and two postseason league tournaments. The 4th-ranked Tigers will travel to face Wichita State (March 16) before playing three games on the network from the Rock Chalk Challenge in Lawrence, Kansas.
